The use of Knauf Design coatings on a total area of 420 m² helped create a unique experience in the Alka Museum in Sinj, uniting the heritage and traditional values of the past with the dynamics and perception of the modern age.
A series of creative architectural and conceptual solutions complement the quantitatively minimalist exhibition with their aesthetics and functionality, making it Croatia's most modern museum institution.
With direct print on gypsum fibre boards, Knauf Design allowed for a unique reconstruction of the historical battle of Sinj in 1715 and thus created a perfect synergy of design and room acoustics. Originally painted on canvas in 1883 by Anton Barac, the watercolor “Alkar troop on the racetrack” was printed on Knauf Design wall panels and forms a vivid fresco covering the entire wall of 20 x 7 m.
For the rest of the interior, the Knauf natural concrete décor was chosen which achieves the unique effect of presenting the work of art on larger surfaces in top quality.
As an extremely functional and cost-efficient solution, Knauf Design coatings were used on the surface of 420 m² in order to create a first-class visual impression that emphasizes the distinctive nature and attractiveness of the exhibition.
