The aesthetics of a creative interior design is far too often restricted by fire protection regulations.
Even if these requirements apply only to a part of the building, this restriction in your creative freedom can impair the coherence of your concept notably.
As of now you have free choice – all components, including diverse real wood veneers, are now available in A2-s1d0 from Knauf Design.

Design - specially focused on fire protection

Design products for interior design focused on fire protection are now covered by the Knauf FIRELINE.
The features of this product line include not only certified board material but also a certified substructure and possible additional requirements such as acoustic effectiveness and edging.
The Knauf FIRELINE fire protection system offers you individual designs at highest safety levels.

FIRELINE consists of the following two product groups: raw boards and ready-coated board materials – both are certified to the latest version.

3 components offer full safety

The Knauf Design components consist of three components that have been tested according to the Building Material Classification DIN EN 13501-1 and comply wiith the non-combustible standard A2-s1, d0:

  • The gypsum fibre board as the carrier
  • The surface consisting of decor printing, real wood veneer, laminate or paint coating (closed or with acoustic effect - perforated or slotted)
  • The substructure (wedge bar or DESIGNBOARD FIX)

These components can be combined freely and are not combustible!

    Regardless of whether the assembly is done by Knauf DESIGNboard Fix or by the wedge bar system. Both mounting variants fulfil the standard A2-s1 d0 in combination with the composite elements. In addition the dismantling or the replacement of individual boards is possible at any time.
