About us

The Riessler company was founded in 1965 by Hubert Riessler as a joinery business. Markus Riessler, Hubert Riessler’s son took over management of the company at an early age. In the decades that followed, the company developed steadily and established itself as a specialist in the fire protection and room acoustics sector through the use of gypsum fibre boards.

In 2012, a major milestone in the development of the company was the merger with Knauf. This step made it possible to combine the outstanding properties of gypsum fibre materials with surface expertise and a wide range of manufacturing options.
